How to Apply

Select your field of study from the list of programs and majors offered.
Fields of StudyInternational applicants may be admitted to the university if they have completed secondary education with a college preparatory curriculum, fulfilled the minimum grade point equivalency, provided required official academic records and required test scores, met the appropriate deadlines, and verified financial support for one academic year.
If you cannot decide upon a major, you may apply to the KU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Later you can choose a major or apply to another KU academic division or professional school.
First-year Applicants
You may enter the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), or the Schools of the Arts, Architecture, Design & Planning, Business, Engineering, Journalism & Mass Communications or Music.
Beyond the First Year
Before entering some programs in the College of Liberal Arts and Science, Schools of Education, Health Professions, Nursing, Pharmacy, or Social Welfare, you must take prerequisite courses. Many students begin their studies in the KU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) and apply for transfer to these professional schools after completing prerequisites.

How much does it cost?Applications
Submit the required admissions materials.
After admission, if you wish to live on campus, visit the Student Housing website to sign a contract.
Students may apply as degree seeking or in special cases as non-degree seeking using the same application form.
Prepare for Arrival
After you are admitted, the ISSS Office will mail you the necessary immigration document to get your visa and send materials to help you prepare for your travels to the US. You may also look at the pre-arrival information online.
