  • First year students must fulfill specific GPA & SAT or ACT score requirements to enter the School of Business. Otherwise competitive admission occurs after the student has completed pre-requisite coursework at KU, usually after the sophomore year. Freshmen who meet all of the admission criteria may apply directly. Students interested in Business who do not meet the requirements will begin their studies in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences in pre-business curriculum & consult with a pre-business advisor during the first year at KU.   • First-year students cannot enter directly into the School of Health Professions. Admission occurs in the junior or senior year of college. Freshmen and sophomores may select a preparatory health care program from the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences section, Preparation in the College, and should consult with the school’s advisor in the University Advising Center as early as possible. Admission prerequisites vary by major. Transfer students are encouraged to apply and are admitted by the admissions coordinator of the individual program.
