  • First year students cannot enter directly into the School of Health Professions. Admission does not occur until the university junior or senior year. Freshmen select a preparatory professional program from the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences section Preparation in the College and consult with a pre-health professions advisor during the first year at KU. Contact the Health Professions program of interest as early as possible. Admission prerequisites vary by major. If you are a transfer student, you must be admitted by the admissions coordinator of the individual program. Transfer students should contact the School of Health Professions directly for application details.
