Undergraduate Admissions
Academic Records
You must provide official academic records from every secondary and post-secondary educational institution you have attended. Faxes, scans or photocopies of your official academic records are not considered official. Your school must mail the original academic records directly to our office. All documents must be in the native language of instruction and have English translations. Documents must be original, showing official school seal and signature of an administrative official. Your full name must be written on each document. Records should be complete, providing detailed information, including dates of enrollment, courses for each term of study, grades earned and diploma, certificate or degree completed. The grading scale and number of credit hours attempted should be noted when possible. Official transcripts should be sent in a sealed envelope directly from the institution to KU. All records become the property of KU and will not be returned or forwarded.
You are a first-year applicant (freshman) if you have completed secondary school but have not yet enrolled in a regular session at any college or university. You must submit records such as official transcripts, mark sheets, diplomas, certificates, or official examination results proving completion of secondary education (high school) and grades achieved.
You are a transfer applicant if you have completed secondary school and have been enrolled in a college or university. You must present official transcripts from all post-secondary-level (college or university) course work. You may not disregard your college record and apply as a first-year student. All college and university academic records must be submitted. If you have completed less than 24 hours of university or college course work (one full year of study), since high school, you must also submit your high school records.
