Insurance Payment Options

F-1 and J-1 Students

If you are either a J-1 or F-1 student at the University of Kansas, health insurance is automatically incorporated into your tuition bill. Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 tuition statements will include a charge of $520, providing coverage for each respective semester. Summer 2013 bills will show a charge of $208 for students who choose to enroll in summer classes.

Not F-1 or J-1

If you are not an F or J student, or if you wish to buy coverage for your spouse or children, you may purchase the United Healthcare insurance through the methods listed below. You may:

  • Pay online for the the UHCSR insurance premium with VISA, Mastercard or E-check. The insurance coverage will be affected the next day after you purchase it. If you wish to avoid the gap between your coverage, you should come to the ISSS office to submit the paper application.
  • Make a payment by check or money order by visiting the ISS office in Room 2 Strong Hall. Please call our front desk at (785) 864-3617 to make an appointment with our insurance coordinator.
