“Curricular and Optional Practical Training for F-1 Students”
Monday, February 11 – NEW LOCATION: will be the Jayhawk Room on level 5 of the Kansas Union
- 3:30 p.m. “F-1 Curricular Practical Training” (CPT) -plan on about 30 minutes for this workshop
- 4:00 p.m. “F-1 Optional Practical Training” (OPT) -plan on about one hour for this workshop
Advisors from the ISSS Office will explain the purpose, eligibility and application procedures for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT) for F-1 students. Application forms will be available and instructions on how to complete them will be provided. Plan to attend both segments to learn about the full range of options for employment related to your F-1 academic program.
Students planning to participate in one of the upcoming campus job fairs, in particular, may find it beneficial to attend this workshop prior to meeting with potential employers.
