Pre-Arrival Information

Thank you for coming to KU! We are happy that you have decided to join our diverse university community. Out of a total enrollment of almost 30,000 students, almost 2,100 come from abroad and represent more than 100 different nations from every region of the world.

Our office is here to help you make the most of your time at KU while advising you on issues related to your legal status. Here, there are many chances to meet and build friendships with US families and students and to experience cross-cultural exchanges through a variety of programs.

Fall 2013 Pre-Arrival Information

Pre-arrival information for students arriving for the fall 2013 term will be available soon.  Please check this website again shortly.

Arrival Dates for New Students

You should plan to arrive on or before the report date listed on your I-20 or DS-2019. Arriving after this date does not guarantee that you will be able to complete the necessary steps to enroll in time before the first day of classes. A late enrollment fee of $150 will be applied beginning the first day of classes. You should plan to arrive by the following dates:
Summer 2013 Students

Wednesday, May 29

Fall 2013 Students
Monday, August 19
*If you plan to attend “YOU at KU” orientation, plan to arrive early to participate by Wednesday, August 14
